Saturday???

I think the day is Saturday. Okay I am sure it is Saturday but damn the days get lost quickly here. I am doing what the Army calls left seat/right seat ride. What it means is I am getting the work handoff from the people I am replacing here in lovely Iraq. The Army definitely overshot their wad by sending me here. It is some very basic Patient Administration stuff. They are worried about getting 6 doctors to sign charts. Hell at Fort Bragg I had over 200 providers to worry about. I am going to enjoy the mental break. I will complete my second Masters while here so that will be good. Maybe I will study for the CPHIM certification? Seems like something else to do? It remains hotter than all hell today too; high of 111 degrees. I think I need to wear linen draws to keep the boys cool (smile).

my new bed for a few days

I am finally up on Outlook so getting email will be a lot easier. I may also get my room today. They are giving each of us trailers or half trailers to live in. No bathrooms so I will be using a bathroom trailer a few feet down the road. So the Army took me from our beautiful 3100 square foot home in San Antonio to a trailer (single wide) with and outhouse. Isn’t there something wrong with that? Anyone have the number to the local Marriott? Later…

Thanks. I am peanut butter and jealous on the margarita front. Americans are not allowed to drink alcohol, have porn, or gamble here. It is the southern baptist dream.

Well doesn't that add insult to injury! that sucks - lots of time to read War and Peace!:-)

Hi Chris
Just got home from getting Tami @ airport. We stopped for dinner and margaritas - yummy. Not bragging, just sharing my day. All is good in SA, getting ready to head to VA for 7 days for the big conversion. Glad to hear you made it there safe - nice cot. Lisa and I went riding the Sally ride yesterday - we had a great time but we were missing everyone that was not there. Looks like we are riding tomorrow as well (Judson) and then maybe a stop at Grumpy's (again not bragging, just sharing). Stay safe. Hurry back.

Hi Chris--the phone number to the Marriott: 1-800-sks-bngu!--Just kidding with you. Been there done that, know what you're going through. Definitely thinking about you and my friends over there. Thanks for continuing to serve our country.

Can't wait to hear more of your story with your humorous aspects.

Take Care,
LaDonna
