The temperature is WHAT???
Okay so today it was 122 degrees. I have never felt heat like this. Remind me again why they fight over this land? I complain but I work in AC. I think about the boys kicking in doors and remember how fortunate I am. I changed the BLOG a little. Your comments will not show immediately. Just administrative issues for me. All is well, the job is still interesting. L8TR

I can't imagine. I'm from the Islands and never experienced 122 degrees. That's why you can't remember the days, the brain is over heated. We're just trying to get to 80 degrees here in DC,(sorry!)
Well as usual, be blessed and safe.
In honor of your current location I will now be referring to the heat as 'Iraq-hot' instead of the 'Africa-hot'. ;) good to see that you are well, and in good spirits. How *are* you fitting on that tiny bed?!?!?! :D
I lived in the Sahahra for some time so know how it feels. Nonetheless, forget about why people fight over their own land, I am at a loss as to why we need to fight over it too and then still have oil at 123 dollars a barrel and gas at $4.50 - am i missing the point? it's 90 plus here in FLA with 90 plus pecent humidity, but then there's freedom of choice. My heart is with those kicking in doors - I would be the kind to do it too -as you know! The more chaos I can create the better! bring it on baby!!!:-)
Hugs,
m2 xx
Interesting evening in our area. You may be hearing more stories from your friends closer to the DC area. I hear they were hit harder than we were. I came home to pictures off the wall, a couple of holes in my siding and missing a few shingles. Damn, I just had my 120 day walk-thru to get all those pesky little issue taken care of. Do you think I can call the builder back and tell him I have a few more issues that need taken care of; kinda forget to mention they were mini-tornado induced? :)
There are trees down all over the place and lodged w/n a few roofs. I feel sorry for those guys. Oh, and the Johnny-pot that was in front of the townhouses under construction....what's all that flippin' blue stuff?? Forget it, I think I know and I dont wanna know.
Most importantly everyone is okay.
M2: headed to Florida next week. Glad to know ahead of time it will do me no good to bring my hairspray and makeup. Not needing the makeup bag = I wont have to pay extra at check baggage. Thanks for the tip. :)
Okay Chris, Hope the sand's not rubbing you too raw. Keep it outta your crack. There's no fresh feeling in being chafe. Although, I hear it acts as a great loofa in the right places. Ill bet your skin is as smooth as a baby's butt, isnt it!? Go ahead, you can admit it. We are all friends here. :) Think of the perks. Think of the perks. Focus on the perks, bud.
