He's here!!

My FNG is on the ground here at Taji. He is sleeping in my old room. Yes - they changed the mattress and cleaned the vents. He appears to be ready but honestly I dont care. I am ready to move the hell on. I am at one of the computer centers typing this post. I no longer have access to the internet in my bed but I dont care it just means I am closer to going home. Everyone that wants to post be patient I will publish them when I get a chance. Waiting in line to use a computer is not my thing.

So I took the FNG to the prison today and he had a wide eyed look. I usually get that from most visitors. He seemed embarrassed to look at the prisoners. <--hope he gets over that.

I have decided I will miss the people here. The interaction I have for the most part is pretty good. I am so ready to get home though I cant see it right now. Iraq sucks sorry to say but I will appreciate so much more when I get home. Well I only get 30 minutes on the internet and I have to check my facebook account. Later....ps forgive my spelling I dont feel like checking it

This is fascinating post. Chris, I know you feel more for your replacement than this sounds.
Not you to not care, but it has been a long ride, right?
As for the prison tour, I know what you mean exactly! Spending much of my time trying to get people out of jail or prison, I really do understand how disturbing it all is to those who do not regularly go into such settings. only worse in Iraq, but maybe not, I have little faith left here at home in our system. Humanity seems.
Welcome home soon!
andy and I can't wait to see you and Ms. B . and hoist a marg
Hugs,
m2 xxox andy too xox

Bobbi - niiiccceeee.

Mandy - nah of course I care otherwise I wouldn't have spent so much time giving him a good handoff. FNG is an Army term really but I mean no harm. He appears to be a good guy who will do fine. He and I are getting along but that may be because I am ready.
